Power glove

Samsung asked us to use design thinking to imagine what the future of stretchable electronics would enable. This charging glove was a functional prototype developed for our bodyNET concept.

Here, the user wears a glove that is connected to a stretchable battery source attached to their back. In the future, stretchable electronics will make it possible to weave circuits through clothing and on skin.

As the user makes contact with the device, the energy from the battery is passed through inductive charging, powering the device.

Concepts like these could allow wearable to be smaller and lighter since they no longer need to cary their own batteries. Instead, the power the user carries, and possibly generates, can be distributed to any device they come into contact with.
